God, the early-to-mid 2000s. What a...magical time.

I’ll be honest. I like this more than the original. Also NFS Underground was released around that same time and it all came together in a neon explosion set to the sound of Ludacris

I’ve been tooling about on a bunch of the direct from China sites recently looking for something random I like enough to impulse buy (still nothing yet) and the underbody LED glow kits are hella cheap to the point where it’s tempting to stick one on my totally inappropriate car for lulz. They’re even bluetooth controlled so you can change colors and sync to music - technology unimaginable in the 90s & early 2ks without spending thousands

Everybody’s entitled to their opinion, but I think it’s the weakest of the series. The only benefit is we get some great characters out of it with Luda and Tyrese.

That was enough for me

Fair enough! 2F2F does have some of the best music of the franchise too.

I remember seeing the Lancer and Eclipse from this at the Chicago auto show the year this movie came out. Paint was already peeling and the gaps were awful. That’s when I realized the camera adds 500hp. The real cars actually looked like a garage ricer’s tribute to the real cars.

I’m sure you’re not stupid and already aware of this, but those probably weren’t “the” Lancer and Eclipse. Probably doubles they had on hand that just sat around and never got screentime. Either that or I’m giving F&F’s quality control too much credit.

Do I really want context for this?

They only claimed to be from the movie, didn’t say if they were the hero cars but given how much movies like that beat on the cars they might have been. Was hard to tell. But yea I get that there are many of each car built for films.
